this "sea vegetable gelatin" is a product of Japan.
it is a replacement for knox or pectin
also called Kanten
in the form i purchased it in
it has come in a long rectangular shape (2)
and looks like pale white seaweed compact.
instructions say:
Tear on Kanten Bar into pieces and add to 2cups of
liquid. Bring to a boil and stir until dissolved.
Add your favorite fruits or vegetables and pour into a
dish or mold. Refrigerate 30 minutes to set.
