its like sports day outside,
the day that is practically june
that school should not go on,
and the day is off to be in the sun on the grass near the shade

and notice cheers beyond going on
as some people partake,

and have free snacks, proabably hot dogs
(im sure there are veggie ones too just for those who need)
and then we all disipate the larger,
and go to the beach,
and wade in and be washed over.

and watch big boats pass slow,
and cross over into each other,
and cross out of each other.
..into long stretches..

and the light turns pale and rosy
but you could drink the air
as it lies to pass over your face
you are so still and warm

in a bundle of soft

and wake
and walk home with sand between your toes

and sports day is a good day.
